Woody Heimann, a synonymous name with JTR Motorsports, will return to the team for a sixth consecutive season in 2026, continuing a long-standing partnership in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup championship. Heimann will compete behind the wheel of the #82 JTR Motorsports–prepared Mazda as he looks ahead to a full and competitive 2026 campaign.

JTR Motorsports is pleased to announce that 18-year-old Justin Gravett is now confirmed for their 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup campaign. With the season opening later this month at Daytona International Speedway, Gravett will drive the #8 Tunnel to Towers entry and will also receive support from additional partnership programs.

On November 4-5, at Circuit Florida in Auburndale, Florida, 12 up-and-coming drivers will compete in the 19th edition of the Mazda MX-5 Cup Shootout. Only three will receive scholarships to participate in the 2026 Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin season. The drivers come from around the world and bring a wide range of different experience to the two-day Shootout.
