MARTINSVILLE, Va. (Oct. 23, 2024) – McCumbee McAleer Racing (MMR) is set to make history this weekend as the Mazda MX-5 Cup takes on its first-ever oval race at Virginia’s iconic Martinsville Speedway. The race, part of the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin, will feature six MMR entries for the much-anticipated 100-lap event.

An inspiring collaboration between Sally Mott Racing, Team Dakota, and HeartWorks, brought together by Rountree Towers, makes its debut in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin race at Martinsville Speedway. Together they are united in the fight against hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) and congenital heart defects (CHD).

DaCosta is ready to go at Road Atlanta

BSI Racing is bringing five drivers to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for Rounds 13 and 14 of the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin Tires. Jonathan Neudorf, Heather Hadley, Christian Hodneland, and Westin Workman all return for the final race of the season.

Rookie driver Nathan Nicholson is switching teams for the last four rounds of the 2024 Mazda MX-5 Cup season. The 18-year-old MX-5 Cup Shootout runner-up, National Spec MX-5 points champion, and Regional Spec Miata champion will be driving for Advanced Autosports at VIR and Road Atlanta. Having had success at the Spec MX-5 level, both the team and driver will be looking to bring that experience to the next level by creating a winning package in MX-5 Cup.
