The 20th season of Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin is set to come to a dramatic close this week with Rounds 13 and 14 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. The quest for the $250,000 championship prize has come down to three drivers, all of whom are chasing their first-ever Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup title.

After making its groundbreaking oval debut at Martinsville Speedway last year, the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin will return to the famous short track alongside NASCAR’s top-tier series.

Sunday’s Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin race was a near repeat of Saturday’s, with Jeremy Fletcher (No. 22 McCumbee McAleer Racing) taking the win behind the safety car. Securing his fourth straight win at VIRginia International Raceway propelled Fletcher into the championship lead.
